| NEW YORK – Strengthening the international Playboy brand, Playboy Enterprises has appointed Louis Mohn as the new publisher of Playboy magazine and vice president of its Publishing Group, the company announced today. In his new position, Mohn will be responsible for leading and managing the advertising sales team for Playboy magazine and Playboy.com.
Mohn, who replaces Diane Silberstein, comes to Playboy from Primedia where he served as president of the Consumer Automobile Group for five years and was in charge of the sales, editorial, marketing, operations and franchise development for Motor Trend, Truck Trend and Automobile magazines and their respective websites. While at Primedia, Mohn was also responsible for expanding the company brand internationally into print, broadcast, television and radio, and increasing revenue more than $25 million.
In announcing the hiring of Mohn, Playboy Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Christie Hefner lauded his experience in bundling publishing assets in print, television, online, radio and events to increase advertising revenue. |
